Launching Celerity: Reimagining the Future of SPA Reconciliation
After 16 years in the wholesale distribution industry, I’ve had the privilege of building a career, forming lifelong friendships, and learning from some of the most talented professionals across the country. The industry gave me so much — and in 2019, during a National NAED meeting, I felt a calling to give something back.
Sitting with Wes Smith, I asked him a simple question: “If I could remove all the noisy issues with Special Pricing Agreements, what would that do for your business?” His response was immediate: “Game changer.”
That moment sparked what would become Celerity Enterprises.
The Problem: Fragmented Systems, Frustrated People
Special Pricing Agreements (SPAs), and ship & debit programs are core to how we move money and margin through the distribution ecosystem. But the processes surrounding them are broken — siloed data, inconsistent workflows, and manual reconciliations stall cash flow, create friction between partners, and leave margin on the table.
Everyone I spoke to — manufacturers, distributors, and rep agents — shared the same frustration:
“We don’t know what data we have, where it lives, or how to trust it.”
We set out to fix that.
The Vision: A Unified Platform and a Single Source of Truth
In December 2019, I hosted a summit in Kansas City with a cross-section of the industry. I showed them a proof-of-concept that replaced spreadsheets, email threads, and disparate portals with one connected system. When I revealed a whiteboard diagram of a “single source of truth,” the response was overwhelming. One partner said, “If you can pull this off, you’ll save me $10 million a year.”
It was no longer just an idea. It was a responsibility.
The Result: Celerity is Live
Over the past year, we’ve quietly partnered with top manufacturers and distributors to validate and refine our SaaS platform. Now, with proven success and incredible early adoption, we’re excited to officially launch Celerity to the broader market.

Why We Built This

That’s also how we got our name: Celerity, meaning “swiftness of motion.” Because when information flows freely, business moves faster.

This is just the beginning. As we continue onboarding thousands of distributors and driving adoption with leading manufacturers, our mission remains clear: To modernize the way Special Pricing Agreements are managed — and give the industry the tools to move forward, together.
